Alex specialises in the heating industry and is particularly experienced in policy areas pertaining to fuel poverty reduction, affordable heating and the decarbonisation of heat. Fascinated by politics and formerly a Parliamentary Officer for a trade association representing the heating industry, Alex is experienced in providing political insight and facilitating engagement with parliamentarians and parliamentary processes.

Before moving into the Energy and Sustainability sector, Alex taught Politics and Sociology and was the Head of Debating at a Sixth Form college which helped her disseminate information in an accessible, engaging manner and provided her with an in-depth academic understanding of the political sphere and the intricacies of UK and international politics.

Alex holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Birmingham as well as a PGCE PCET from Birmingham City University. She is currently undertaking a part time MSc alongside her employment – her thesis focuses on the interaction between gender & climate change/the energy sector.
