As Chief Executive of the Sustainable Energy Association (SEA), Lesley works on a range of policy issues across the whole energy chain. Drawing on over 30 years’ experience in the energy industry, Lesley is committed to driving the energy debate and has a proven track record leading successful campaigns for policy and regulatory changes. A highly experienced director and senior manager in public affairs and regulation with drive, passion and proven leadership skills gained working at a senior level across cultures and countries.

Positions Lesley has held include: Government and Stakeholder Relations Manager; Trading Manager, Commercial Manager and Communications Manager at BG Group; Public Affairs Manager at Microgen; and Commercial Negotiator, Commercial Manger and Audit Manager at British Gas. Lesley’s commercial background together with her experience of working with regulators and governments to shape energy policy, gives her an understanding and focus on developing practical policy solutions.

Lesley, has a degree in Business Studies and is an Accountant (CIMA accredited). She is also a fellow of the Energy Institute and member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Lesley is known for her vibrant personality and great sense of humour. Born and bred in the North East, she is a proud Geordie and passionate Newcastle United fan. She also enjoys regular holidays with her family and is particularly fond of the Lake District.
